HealthMaster LWHM Living Well 1100-Watt 2-Quarter Fruit and Vegetable Emulsifier Review
HealthMaster must have had great intentions when creating this great kitchen appliance, and true to their good intentions, it can do a lot in the kitchen. It does more than just blend or juice – you can use to literally liquefy anything fruit or vegetable and more. It’s great for soups, it’s great for whipping cream, and it’s great for making ice-cream, grating and many more.
Despite their good intentions however, something went a little off and although it can do so much for you, there are a few things about it that might not make it the kitchen appliance of your choice. And these, in my opinion, should be taken seriously, because, despite being Montell Williams endorsed, it still gets a lot of gripes. To be fair, lets do pros and then cons, and then you can make up your mind whether it’s worth it.
Pros
- It has no peers in its range – yes there is no other kitchen appliance invented yet that does what the HealthMaster LWHM Living Well/Montel 1100-Watt 2-Quarter Fruit and Vegetable Emulsifier can do. It pulverises and liquefies fruit in seconds. For vegetarians especially, it’s a great appliance to have because you can have your veggies done in all forms in the shortest time possible.
- While doing all this, it retains the foods nutritional value – no loss of vitamins or phyto-nutrients, minerals or anti-oxidants, the things you’re looking to get really from any healthy meal.
- It comes with an 1100 watt, 2 horsepower motor; lots of power thus the pulverization in seconds.
- Because of all the things it can do, it replaces a lot of appliances in your kitchen – you can get rid of your blender, your mini chopper, your 10-inch cook's knife, your coffee and spice mill/grinder, your cheese/veggie grater, your juicer, meat grinder, snow-cone maker, ice-cream maker, smoothie maker, soy milk maker, and your latte whip or other milk-frothing device. Put together, the cost of all those would definitely be more than an investment in the HealthMaster.
- It comes with 8 variable speed settings, all controlled with the touch of a button.
- It comes with a 2 quart plastic pitcher – large enough to serve a big group.
- You can do hot foods in it too. It has a steam-release spout.
- It’s designed with an easy grip handle and a mess-free pour spout.
- It has an automatic shut-off feature that goes on when the unit is getting overheated.
- Its dishwasher safe and comes with 4 bonus recipe books.
Cons
- It rusts after a short while – its been reported to get some rust even during shipping,
- You must get the installation correct otherwise you won’t get it to turn on.
- The motor can burn out quite easily – in a month or less depending on how much use you are putting it to.
- If you get it more than 2/3 full, you’ll get spillage.
- It’s not so easy to open and close – you have to struggle quite a bit.
- It’s noisy and its big – it will take up quite a bit of space on your counter top.
The choice is really yours – if you want a gadget that can transform anything fruit or veggie into liquid form, and without losing the nutrients, and that can make a multitude of other culinary delights, go for it. It comes with a warranty of 100 years (!), so that’s a bit of a consolation.
