The consumers who gave reviews for the Jack LaLanne JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe were divided in their opinion of the product.  The juicer is made with a stainless steel exterior and blade.  It has an extra-large round feeder, a super-sized detachable pulp collector, a whisper-quiet 3,600 RPM motor with stainless steel, surgical quality blades and is dishwasher safe.

Out of 141 consumer reviews, 40 gave the product five stars, 31 gave it four stars, making it 71/141 positive reviews.  One star was given to the product by 40 people, 17 gave it two stars and 13 were in the middle; thereby showing a clear divide in the overall satisfaction of the product.   The most positive consumer reviewer, who gave a 5-star rating, stated that the machine worked better if soft vegetables preceded the harder vegetables.

The reviewer felt the juicer did not do well with grasses, (naming lemongrass and berries) particularly if they were not followed with a hard vegetable or fruit upon insertion.  The reviewer strongly suggests putting the parts on the top shelf of the dishwasher only, avoiding the heating elements of the dishwasher.  Other five-star reviewers made positive statements such as: the juicer is easy to assemble, disassemble and clean up; it is well-designed and well-built; many said the machine is quiet.  Many liked the larger spout, as food did not have to be cut small first.

In the negative reviews, the complaints were consistently about how food would become stuck in the chute, particularly carrots and regular-sized apples.  In contradiction to the positive reviews, many stated that smaller apples, as well as fruit and vegetables had to be cut small.  Many one, two and three-star reviewers complained about leakage and messiness.  The Jack Lalanne JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe cannot be washed at high temperatures, as some parts are actually chrome-colored plastic.
